However, since the originals are often much smaller, or the original photograph of the painting was already taken with poorer resolution in times of now outdated technology, there may be slight blurring in the largest versions even despite digital post-processing. This is perfectly normal. Small imperfections (patina) of the originals, such as fine cracks, have been deliberately retained in order to preserve the vintage character. However, damage or severe discoloration on the originals is partially retouched.
